Events Coordinator (maternity cover – anticipated start early December 2016)
Starting salary: £25k to £27k per annum plus benefits package (dependant on experience)
Oxford (37.5 hours per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join our UK-based team. The role is to provide a pivotal role in managing organisational events.

As a successful applicant, you will organise and manage key events throughout the calendar year, some outside normal office hours and away from home. You will also have the opportunity to become a member of a stimulating Christian community, where you will take an active part in the prayer life of the team. Your main responsibilities would include:
- Leading the planning, venue selection, coordination and delivery of conferences and events run by the Trust. These will include our Training Days, Donor events, Team Retreats, some missions and other special events (e.g. book launches, youth events etc.)
- Working closely with the part-time Events Coordinator in delivering the above events and facilitating with events that the Events Coordinator is responsible for.
- Working closely with the Marketing and Media Team to develop event publicity, including promotional materials, bookings and web-based marketing.
- Managing the finances of events within the agreed budget framework with members of our senior team.
To be successful in this role you will have significant proven experience working within an operational role involving service provision, organisation and forward-planning skills. Experience of planning or delivering conferences or events is essential, as you will be expected to manage your own workload effectively to meet strict deadlines. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be proficient in managing written and verbal communication at a range of organisational levels.
You will have the opportunity to use your well-developed interpersonal skills together with your ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally. You will also be an effective negotiator, who is able to pragmatically solve problems.
You will be a team player, but will also have the ability to work autonomously too. Some experience of dealing with budgetary information, whilst not essential, would also be a distinct advantage.
