Starting at £22k to £24k per annum plus benefits package (experience dependant)

Oxford (37.5 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic assistant to join our UK-based team. The role is to provide a pivotal personal support service to the International Director of our Trust.  RZIM Zacharias Trust is a UK registered Christian charity with a friendly, welcoming culture and a warm working atmosphere.  Our organisational vision and mission is to help the thinker believe and the believer to think.

As a successful applicant, as part of the International Director’s team, where you would help to provide general administrative, communication and other support.   You will also have the opportunity to become a member of a stimulating Christian community.  Your key responsibilities  would include:

  • Providing administrative and communications support for the International Director, acting as a first point of contact via email, telephone and in person.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships on the Director’s behalf both internally and with key contacts outside the Trust, including those who invite him to speak, broadcast etc.
  • Day-to-day diary planning and management, together with coordinating all travel plans (international and domestic), venues and speaking itineraries for the International Director, as well as a responsibility for associated administration.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who really enjoys administrative work, you will need to  use your well-developed organisational skills and experience of dealing with conflicting and rapidly changing priorities and you must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

You will also have proven experience working as a personal assistant (or similar role) preferably for someone at senior management level.  You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be proficient in managing significant levels of written and verbal communication at a range of organisational levels and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Experience of diary management (using outlook), coordinating meetings and organising logistics is highly desirable.  You will be a team player with a flexible attitude, but will also have the ability to work autonomously too. Experience of carrying out research would also be a distinct advantage.
